How to make a natural insecticidal soap

Chances are you want to keep your vegetable garden insecticide and herbicide … free as much as possible. So you can eat pure and clean vegetables.

But what can you do when your precious vegetable garden plants are under attack from insects?

Well, there some natural insecticidal sprays you can make yourself which deter insects. Or eliminate them altogether.

Homemade natural insecticides

  • A soap spray is a great way to combat beetles, aphids, whiteflies, and mites. To make this mix one soup spoon of washing up liquid with a litre of water. Spray the affected areas. You can use this spray as often as needed.
  • Another spray effective against mites and aphids is an oil based spray. This spray coats the insects so they suffocate.

To make this spray add one tablespoon of washing up liquid to a cup of vegetable oil.  Shake well. When you need this spray, add two tablespoons of the mixture to one litre of water in your sprayer.

And use this as you need it.
