There are many different types of gazebos; there are wooden gazebos, pop-up gazebos and metal framed gazebos. It all depends on what you want your gazebo to do and how long you want your gazebo to last.

  • A pop-up gazebo has an aluminium frame and can instantly pop-up in your garden. These come in different sizes and in different colours. You can even buy accessories such as curtains, doors and windows.
  • The metal framed gazebo has a metal frame and is very sturdy and these are usually used for party tents or mini marquees. This is a more heavy duty type of gazebo/marquee.
  • The wooden gazebos look really luxurious and also look as if they will give real elegance to your garden.
  • The alternative is to build your own gazebo or to hire professionals to build a custom made gazebo. Also with a custom made gazebo you can have extra features such as windows, wider steps, internal seating, and so on.

Floors in the garden gazebo

Some gazebos are erected on the grass and others are put on decking, concrete or pavers such as the patio. The floor you want in the gazebo really depends on how long you want you gazebo up for. If it’s just for a party then erect it on the grass or on the patio. If you are erecting a permanent gazebo you are most likely to put concrete down to make the gazebo last as long as possible.
